Trains are my thing little cars are what my wife use to collect now she buys the odd one. We have a thing if we cant display it we don't need it. Our grandkids have two engines lined up for a race. They would sooner race trains than shunt box cars into sidings. I really don't care at least they are enjoyed.

Awesome setup Jim ... I wish I had more space to setup a train diorama, but space is always a key factor when collecting diecast or rail road ... I have a buddy who has a train diorama in his garage but it has become a storage table than anything since his father passed away a few years back... I guess the enjoyment faded when pops moved on... If I had the space I would love to take it off his hands and have fun with it... Maybe someday :-

Everyone has that someday thing l.o.l. Space can be a problem I have a nephew 7 years old loves trains no room for a layout small house .His mum and dad have a king size bed in their room .I built him a layout on a sheet of plywood it has little wheels on it rolls out from under their bed. For the little guy it is a place to display his little car collection and he has a toy to amuse himself.
