Living in Las Vegas you always hear and see and smell the effects of fires in the West. But this one is close to home. What started as a small fire Monday is now up over 8,000 achres. I live about 40 miles from the fire but I can see a collum of smoke from the mountain from East Lake Mead and Pecos.
Below is a video of the fire that was shot on Mount Charleston and I did not shoot the video just posting it. The last I heard the fire is threatening 400 plus homes as of today.

Wow, I hope they get it under control soon - get it contained... So do I bro let me tell you I look out at the Mountians to the west and they are all hazy and you cannot make them out. If this fire gets much worse I may visit you before I have my surgery. |
