As many of you know, I like searching the net for M2s that I do not own or the ones that I like to add to my collection... Well tonight I was searching around on eBay and stumbled on this auction by Hydrohead34... I have in the past dealt with this seller but this is one set that this seller must love cause he has priced it at 1000% over what they are worth... Each car are worth $6 ea and at $600.00 I can surely buy more M2s than the 6 he has on auction for his price.... Thank god I own them already, but I do not see them at $100.00 each in price as he does... I hate to say this but, one mans treasure will always be that one mans treasure no matter how you look at it ... LOL Check out the auction from the link below link

I have also purchased cars from this seller in the past.He is reputable, the cars are rare color variations, but this lot is out of my comfort zone. I am looking for '55 M2 Pontiacs in red/black,and dk blue/lt blue,'53 Olds lt blue/wht. The '54 Merc he has is also a winner. I just purchased an all white '54 Merc and a lt blue/wht '54 Merc for a nice price,so there are still some good deals on evilbay.

Yeah, $100.00 per Car is a bit much and for him to think they are worth that he has been mis-informed in value ... He bought them at cost which was around $2-3ea and selling them at $6-7 is reasonable... He's best to put them back in his collection as he cherishes them highly... I cracked mine loose so mine are worth $50ea ... lmao

Liv N Low: so I was mis-informed in value.... I am a dreamer, I bought them at cost which was around $2-3ea...
This set actually sold for 599.99 plus 20 shipping and I am proud of it. Because at the end of the transaction the customer who purchased it was extremely happy. As a matter of fact we became friends and he is now a regular customer of mine. I RAOK'd him and I will keep sending him RAOK cars and to others from time to time who purchase from me. a lot goes on behind closed doors that you are not aware of but there is definitely one thing you need to keep in mind: this is a business and the primary purpose of a business is to provide a service and make profit in return. I am not lying to my customers, I am honest, I am not a scammer, not forcing people to buy anything from me, I am not tricking people into buying fake stuff like others (never did never will). Long story short; I am running a business here and believe me I have tons of loyal, happy, satisfied customers so I must be doing something right.
My door is open to everybody. You can always contact me from hydrohead34@aol.com You can also ask Sean or Richard from M2 about me! No hard feelings but I expect people to speak to me rather than posting in public forums. Sincerely and respectfully Al - hydrohead34 diecast

Hello Hydrohead34 and welcome to the board, From reading your post, I am not sure if you are mad or you want to make your point in writing that, that auction sold for a cool whopping $599 + $20 shipping... I want to say Congrats to you first on your sale, I am sure many of us saw that the auction sold which made many of us scratch our heads as to why ??? Did I eat my words in you being a dreamer? ( ), sure, but many would think you got lucky but doesn't everyone from time to time get lucky?? sure as no one truly knows who will pay a over the top premium price for a diecast car or set that is pretty current in year - not being old like a HW Redline... lol ... Now what made that set so special you ask, many of us don't know as M2 made quite a bit of those cars for that release so they were not rare or a short printed in the run... You sir made me look at my 1A release set twice three times thinking should I sell mine for $600 or hell maybe I could get a cool $1000 for mine as no one really knows for sure who would pay what for that set since you showed there is no boundaries to the selling price.... If you happen to see one on eBay for $1000, that may be me testing out the water.... lol I have no beef with you HH nor does anyone else for that matter... I have done business with you in the past on many occasions 2-3 yrs ago purchasing a few cars here and there that I couldn't get in my area which were all great with no complaints... It's great to hear & read that a seller like yourself RAOKs a customer as not many sellers do these days... I RAOK all the time as I enjoy helping others when I can as that is what this hobby is about, helping a fellow collector when needed.... Lets clear some air here if I may as no one was saying you are a scammer or a dishonest seller HH selling on eBay or TTP or on your own website... I happened to stumble across your auction and people shared their opinion which they posted and did not slandering you or your business... Yes, you are correct that you are entitled to sell what you have at your price as you are in the business to sale your product openly and make a profit when you can... You did not force anyone to purchase that set off of you nor did you scam anyone in buying it, all you did was post it up for sale with a price that you felt was fair to you in hoping it would be worth the same to another person and bingo it sold which is awesome for you - Congrats... You also wrote it out in your description that if it didn't sell it will go right back into your collection... I hope there is no hard feelings towards each other as I may be back for more cars if I am allowed to still buy from you.... Cheers LNL

Hello Liv N Low and thank you for your response. I am not mad but overall a little frustrated as this $600 deal resurrected all of a sudden and I feel kind of being hammered now for selling it at that price. I know you have no beef with me; I happened to see your post and wanted to clear a few things. I want you to know that what I posted above were not directed to you personally but to the mind set out there that is against the dealers/distributors selling collectibles at high prices. No hard feelings at all. Like I said before, my door is always open to you and every collector. I am here to help if my help is needed.
Sincerely and respectfully. Al
