Here is a sweatheart of a Lesney S and S Cadillac Ambulance that I got as part of a RAOK last year. I have had a couple guys suggest that I restore it but I decided that I would leave it in it's present condition.

I really like that model by Matchbox but then again I have a soft spot for anything related to a Cadillac....LOL
I don't know, if I was you I would find someone I could trust and does good work to have them restore it. I have someone at the HWs Club that I attend that is doing another members old redlines and Matchbox cars. In fact most of the customs that you see from my posts are done by the same person. He does some awesome work and he is using a rattle can paint to do the work. He is quite talented. If you can't do the work yourself and you can't find anybody to do it for you. I can understand the reaon why you want to keep as is. I have a few cars like that in my collection. It would be worth it to keep like it is and trying to restore myself. I need alot more practice at it before doing some of the harder or vintage cars in my collection.

One of my favourites. Both regular wheels and transitional superfast.
