This is not my car but it will give you an idea what the 1958 Lincoln headlights look like in a 51Merc. Another headlight I used was a 1954 Buick headlight mounted on a angle.. Wish I had pictures of the old cars I did custom work on but when you lose everything in a fire that's life . I got a few pictures from my brother gives you an idea of the cars I like to fool around with and the kind of cars I collect . 1940 Plymouth project. The hood was made into a tilt hood the old hood opened on each side . The frame was cut off at the firewall and a Ford Torino front frame was welded to the old Plymouth frame. The motor was a Ford motor. And this was what it looked liked it was lowered about 9 inches the whole floor was cut out and a new one put in. The car had all the toys air conditioning, power windows, seats that kind of thing. The G.M. truck i dropped a 454 in it and chopped the roof 3 inches. The old Fairlane was a sleeper stock body, motor was a full house 428 Cobra jet. The rancharo was a play toy for my wife. I use to rent this place just to work on my projects. If you ever seen the movie The kidnapping of the president. I think 1980 this garage was blown up in the movie . The movie was made in Canada William Shatner was in it. I always have a toy to play with. And of course my wife has a toy to amuse her self. We have about 1000 feet of driveway total she bought this thing at a auction for 2500 hundred only has about 20000 miles on it just like new. She bought a cheap plow .So she plows the driveway.l.o.l.

Hello Jim, sorry for the delay as I have been slammed with so many things that need to be done before their due dates. I have to say you posted up quite few beauties from the past and those headlights are a piece or art on that 1954 Buick. It's always great looking at old photos as they bring back fond memories growing up. I bet the wife loves her toy to clear that 1000 ft driveway, great price with low miles.

Everyone has things to do and not enough time. l.o.l. been there done that. Yes my wife likes to play with the plow when we put in the new driveway that goes right around the back of the house and out the other side of the yard. I brought in the loads of gravel with my brothers dump truck and she spread it all with a front end loader. She drove tractor trailer with me for 10 years so if it is a machine she can drive it . l.o.l.
