Will always remember that day with so many lost.... I was woken up by the phone ringing around 5am, family and friends on the East Coast..... Sad Day for many....

I remember 911 as I was up with my daughter who was 2 at the time and I turned the TV on and my jaw hit the floor when I saw what was going on. I immediately ran into the bedroom where my husband was still sleeping and I woke him up and told him what was going on and he said, "Turn off whatever Movie your watching", I then turned the TV on in the bedroom and said LOOK IT IS NOT A MOVIE... he woke up and was just as shocked as I was... I will always remember that day, and even tho my daughter was 2 at the time she actually remembers that day... A matter of fact she is playing with the High School Band at a 911 memorial service right now.

343 of my brothers died this day and hundreds of them are still dying to this day due to the smoke and other things they breathed in. A good friend of mine who lives in Iowa is dying from the stuff he breathed in while there in a EMS capacity. Let us all never forget this day. This picture hangs on my wall so that I look at it every day.  |
