Looks like you have a nice place. We have critters in our yard year round nothing but miles of bush around us. Deer.. Moose... wild Turkeys .We have 650 acres and only 30 acres is clear the rest is bush.

well she just had her fawn and that is why she is skinny. She hangs out in the yard waiting for Bill to give her food because if the bucks are around she doesn't get anything so Bill makes sure that she gets food when those blasted bucks aren't around... Typical male... |

Canada is a little more than just woods and big citys it has mountains,prairies ,islands Like the U.S.A. It has many beautiful areas to live. Driving a truck all my life I got to travel from one end of North America to the other and got paid to do it. l.o.l. And yes guys venison is yum yum l.o.l. |

I'm talking walk around in your yard naked kind of acreage. 10 acres is a nice round number. But 650 like Jim, how do you keep track of all that land?

We have about 3 acres around the house that is lawn and flower gardens. The rest is wild I have put in a 1 mile path that follows the creek and it is a ongoing project. We are 10 miles in from a main highway and the road in front of the house is paved. We have gravel roads on both sides and the back of the property. We are also 35 miles to the nearest town. 10 acres is plenty and that can keep you busy. The reason we bought this place was it has a lot of timber on it and there is a saw mill 5 miles down the road. It will have a lot of trees cut but not clear cut just thinned out to make it a park like setting. I have 3 brothers who want to build here and 7 grandkids that each will get 50 acres of land to build a house on or sell it. So it may be out in the boondocks but no neighbours to bug you just critters. l.o.l.  |

Perfect place to live, want to adopt me.....LOL Well it could only be Monday to Friday l.o.l. Every weekend we have grandkids or nieces or nephews who want to come up for the weekend .The creek has trout in it even the girls like to catch fish .l.o.l. |

So I cut a little slice of the back yard and made this little gif file. The paths wander along the creek and out into the woods. A lot more work to do yet I have 1 bridge a truck can drive across and 3 walking bridges this one my wife drew a picture this was what she wanted something to go with the wooden wagon wheel chairs. My wife and sister looked at this property I never seen it till the day we moved here. She just said it is neat lots of trees a little creek and I could make it into something neat. l.o.l. Maybe I should adopt you guys can you use a chain saw or drive a log skidder l.o.l.  |

Thanks for the nice comments folks .. It is a relaxing place you can sit and listen to the creek and the birds and at night if your into talking to wolves just give a howl and you will get a reply back l.o.l. My wife and I have been here 3 years now and still lots more I want to do. The new house is done the new workshop still needs the interior done a winter project. It gets to a point where you goof off and get nothing done on those nice sunny lazy days.l.o.l.
