On Friday, I got together with my fellow diecast pal, Rich. I'm in central CT and he's in RI so we met at a TRU on the CT shoreline. Not much at TRU so we headed to a nearby Walmart. Paydirt!!! AutoWorld cars on the pegs!! This was the first time he saw them. He grabbed the yellow '67 Corvette from the Deluxe line and I took the blue '61 Dodge and maroon '66 Impala (this was the first time I saw the Premium cars) (see, Mike? I'm using the proper terms! )
I'm sure you've guessed what happened from my thread title.......wouldn't ring up, not in the system. The CSM said it would take awhile to put them into the system but we could return later and pick them up at the Customer Service desk. Oh well. We went to another Walmart and found nothing so we went to a local tavern for some food and beverages. We met some great people there, but that's another story! When we returned to Walmart for our cars, the CSM explained that they couldn't put the cars in the system - something to do with corporate. They even removed the remaining AW cars from the pegs.
So many emotions going on there........... Welcome to Wally... I am really getting sick and tired of going in there and nothing is stocked, the shelves are a mess, just very frustrating. And do you think Walmart cares, ummmm no they don't.
