Ok Shell I promised you this a while ago and just found it. This is one of my senior pics with my '79 Monte Carlo. I was 18 when this pic was taken  Wish I still had this car. I know a lot of people didn't like this design of Monte, but loved it! Balck and red with rally wheels..ah the good old days   |

Now in my area, the Mexicans make lowriders out of the older cars and I have seen a few 79 Montes down south with hydros & wire wheels

There was a heavy guy who had one of these in the apartment building I basically grew up in.
When he sat inside, it would rock like a boat.
I remember he was walking to his car one day, and I made some silly noise out the window being a little snot.
He turned around not knowing where the sound came from and yelled "your ass is grass!" Total 80's lingo.

Ok Steve, I took pictures of pictures but I will scan them in at work tomorrow so hopefully they will look better... While looking for the pictures I found something Dan might appreciate...  I had to take a picture and include it in this thread only because we are talking Monte Carlo's... |

Steve the Monte is still sitting in the garage he wants to put a 5 speed in it and get the interior redone and repainted.

He took it out for a ride in June... I told him he should take it for another run before winter comes. He is looking to get antique plates for it.. He already has the classic plate on it... IDK when he is planning on doing that...

I wish I had my old ford gran torino now that was a car full of memories in more than one way. I use to have a gutless cutless that I miss also. Damn it sucks getting old.

Great trip down memory lane everyone.
I had many cars in my youth that I wish I still had. From my 69 Olds Toronado to my 1977 Trans Am to my 69 Camaro. Fun rides.
