If any of you folks have little people in your cars post them here I am curious if there is any one else on here who is a detail fanatic. I am married to one. l.o.l. every convertible has people and a few cars that have doors that open has people. Some cars like the Motormax cars come apart and they ended up with people. I will post one a day for a month to see if there is any interest in this .If your partner has no interest in little cars tell her look at this the worlds smallest dolls. Tell her she could start to collect them they don't take up much space cheaper than a Barbie. l.o.l. The car is a 1955 Mercedes Gullwing

I have people Jim, but they are no where near to scale of 1/64 .... I really like to add people to my collection but they are so darn expensive these day... Seems every seller wants a arm/leg and your first born child for them... I am always looking around at the clearance tables or aisles while out shopping.... Not much to be found though...

Same here but don't take our non-participation as a disinterest to your thread. Most of us don't have little people or at least regular people. We have some of the Superheroes but I think they are alittle larger than 1/64 scale. Please post as many as you have because I would greatly enjoy them. I love your and wife's work on dioramas.

Thanks for the nice comments folks. I buy the little people from a hobby shop and yes preiser figures are expensive 14 to 26 dollars for ....1:87 scale figures. I don't buy from evilbay but for those that do... google 1:87 scale sitting figures and check out a few dealers they are cheap cheap cheap if you buy a 100 or more .....or a 1000 l.o.l. 1:72 and1:76 standing figures are ok for street scenes. I use 1:87 because I have passenger trains with people in them and part of my layout I like to keep correct scale .Hard to do when you have a woman who thinks if it has wheels and rolls it is a toy.l.o.l. Harry has some information about little people on one of his blogs he has bought in bulk so could tell you more about it. A picture explains it better. Now cars are no different 2 Mercs now most guys think 1:64 scale is all Hotwheels Matchbox JohnnyLightning and a dozen other brands Motormax and the older Jada were 1:60 scale A lot of cars are off scale and little trucks are worse I will post some coke trucks my wife collects on the diorama topic a picture explains better. Anyways since I have had to adjust my thinking about correct scale because my wife collects things she likes and a 1:100 scale coke truck and a 1:64 scale coke truck at the coke factory are fine backed in the same dock l.o.l. I have to agree with part of it yes they both say coke on the trucks l.o.l. Racing Champions and Motormax is the smaller car

Keep posting away as its always great seeing what other people have as a imagination when it comes to a diorama. Our toyroom is around 36 feet by 20 feet of useable space . And it is full my wife collects many things a example 2 large display cases just for dolls to live in. We collect wood carvings there is about a 100 of them on shelfs in display cases . Robots live under the train layout l.o.l. Our dioramas are in 2 foot wide by 8 foot long sections.

The 57 Chev was part of a James Bond collection my wife had .She collected movie cars then lost interest in them so the blister packs got opened now the little cars are toys and kids play with them .

I don't really collect anything I just buy the odd car if it is a tiny version of a real car we owned. I got in the habit many moons ago in collecting and it just escalated into a nightmare lol ... I used to collect trading sport cards, stamps, crystal/china, sports memorabilia, action figures, coins & of course diecast which I stuck with as its cheaper to obtain over all the others lol ... I minimized my collections and sold or gave away my trading sports cards, stamps & 1/2 of my action figures as they took up alot of space... I kept my coins as they are easy to tuck away in a tote and my crystal is on display with some of my sports memorabilia... Now my diecast is another story which we will not get into... lol

I did the coin and stamp thing years ago Never was into any kind of sports I collected cards when I was a kid They were cars and guns cards When our house burned lost everything but the coins were fine. Figures something I had no interest in l.o.l. I was into building custom cars .My wife collects or I should say accumulates all kinds of things .But for the first time everything is well organized .

I love the Motorcycle ... Pretty close to scale for the 1/64 Cars It is one of those looks ok must be ok scales l.o.l. My wife said she thinks they were micro machines from the 90,s. The building was a 1:87 scale car dealership. All you can get in it is 3 or 4 1:64 scale cars and they look odd so it became a motorcycle shop. It still needs a workshop and toolboxes that kind of thing. The hobby shop we deal with has a junk shelf trains .. planes.. cars.. buildings . Never know what you will find .Only problem is it is 350 miles from where we live now but we go to the city once a month anyways and my wife always finds some more junk to bring home. l.o.l. She found little boats they look like 1:87 scale so I can read her mind a boat dealership will be a future project .l.o.l. A little better picture.

Oh snap.... Perfect building to make it into a Motorcycle Shop.... I wish I had the space to make a city, but I don't, so I am stuck looking at everyone elses which is fine as they all look great. . This diorama section is 2 feet by 4 feet the buildings are only 6 inches high .It is a 2 inch thick by 2 feet wide and 4 feet long sheet of styrofoam insulation the blue or pink stuff. If your living in a small space it will fit under a bed or stand up in a closet or hide behind a couch and the buildings would fit in two or 3 empty hotwheels cases l.o.l. You only need a few buildings to make a neat spot to take pictures of your little cars. The only hard part of doing it is to get started..l.o.l. this cruise night diorama has about 25 pictures I will post them on the diorama topic on Monday night.

Love the Cruize night Dio .... Alot going on to checkout Our 5 year old grandson likes this diorama he changes all the cars every time he comes for a visit. We have about 40 Plano cases full of little cars . They hold 24 cars or if you put the little car in plastic bags you can buy at the dollar store you can get at least about 38 cars in the case . We have about 200 cars on the whole layout.

This one is funny I keep telling my grandson you really need to use the tripod if you want to make a gif animation .Well after he did this he said to heck with animation too much trouble .He blamed it on the 5 year old helper he did not move the car right . l.o.l. The truck is neat Well yes that was true anyways a fun day watching them and my wife telling him use the tripod and don't move the truck back just up and down . The Monte Carlo on the bottom was his second try at animation not bad .

I like when it's picture time .... Thanks for sharing Jim I think I will make this one the last I don't like bumping other peoples topics every day. Getting a guy in this little Chev was fun. And it is a 1:87 scale figure. My wife cut the steering wheel out glued him onto the seat then glued the steering wheel back on .When she put the body back on it was hitting his head and bent him back .Looks kind of strange but still neat .
