Poor Toyota. "In some cases, the problem was caused by spiders." I guess they haven't worked all the bugs out?

Something I saw on the web today and figured I would share it with everyone on the Zone. Toyota is recalling 870,000 vehicles because a problem with an air conditioner part could cause airbags to deploy unnecessarily . In some cases, the problem was caused by spiders. Sometimes, their webs can create a blockage in a drainage tube coming from the air conditioning condenser. That can cause water to drip down onto an airbag control module, causing a short circuit. That, in turn, could cause the airbag warning light to light up on the dashboard and it could even cause the driver's side airbag to deploy, something that happens with explosive force. In some cases, there could also be a loss of power-steering force, Toyota said. The vehicles involved are model year 2012 and 2013 Camry's, Venzas and Avalon's, including hybrid versions of those cars. So far, Toyota is aware of three airbag deployments as a result of this and 35 cases of warning lights coming on, Toyota spokeswoman Cindy Knight said. In the cases Toyota has investigated, the only consistent cause of the blockages has been spider webs. Knight could not say if spiderwebs caused every incident, however. Spiders sometimes build webs inside tubes in cars. In 2011, Mazda recalled 52,000 Mazda6 sedans for a problems caused by spiders building webs inside a vent line for the gasoline tank. To fix the problem, Toyota dealers will make fixes to block water from dripping onto the airbag module. Owners will be notified by mail to take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer where the necessary work will be performed at no charge.

HIDEOUS! Amazing ! M2 must have hired the Hot Wheels kindergarten design team. How realistic will these look in my collection? Can't wait for the realistic gold bumpers and colored tired versions.

What I don't get is the owner could of parted out the car in pieces than destroy the vehicle.... I bet those wheels and tires could fetch a nice coin as well as all the other parts of the car that he took a sledgehammer too .... Fender, doors, windows etc.. are all worth something to someone I guess the guy has more money than common sense In watching it a second time I think your very right bro. I would love to take a sledgehammer to all the BMWs around here. How come they do not come with turn signals? BMW is touted as "The driver's car" in their ads,but most of the ones here, are driven by people with no common courtesy or any driving skills.I guess the attitude is attached to the bank account.Money does not always equal intelligence.

Very excited about this model - and seeing that the '67 Elky is being done is fantastic! Is the back end of a '66 the same as a '67? Also very much anticipating the '66 Chevelle / Malibu!! I know the back end of a '67 Chevelle differs from a '66. I would like to see a '66 El Camino and Chevelle as well. The front and rear both differ from the '67.'66 is a cleaner design in my opinion. The rear wheel arches of the JL '66 Chevelle were not correct.

I have a little dio garage I made with the help of liv n low that I would like to pick up or learn how to make accessories for like the tool boxes and stuff... Again another great Job I hated this stock Caddy. This is what I did with a car that bored me

I am actually on the fence about why Diecastspace rather use the money to have Mickey at the next Convention Show than use the money to help him & his family with the medical bills.... I wouldn't mind helping Mickey with the medical bills in a donation, but not help pay for him to have a vacation.... Health comes first over pleasure, so the staff at Diecastspace need to re-think how to help him if they choose too than try to bring him to 2014 Show in Las Vegas.... Mickey is a great standup guy no doubt as I spent some time with him and his boy during the 2012 Bingo Game... Mickey shared his door prizes with us at the table passing around 5 Camaros with all the variations.... If Diecastspace like to make a link on their website for donations, then I will donate, but only if the money will be used for his medical bills.... Jus my .02c This ONLY A GUESS.I do not wish to seem morbid, but maybe Mickey is terminal.Therefore-screw the money going to doctors.Use it to brighten his last days.Again, this is only a guess.I do not know the whole story, nor do I know Mickey. In any case let's not let anything cloud our best wishes for him and his family.

I would like to see the following: '64 Ford Galaxy Well, don't throw your hard earned money at this one. It's already in tooling for release 2. :) The '64 Galaxy has been done by a few manufacturers, but I'm sure the AW will outshine them.I would vote for the '62 Galaxy.I don't remember any having been produced in 1:64.

I would have voted to invest more, but I had to keep it at under $100 as I spent most of my budget on gas driving around trying to find AWs I WILL be looking forward to getting them online.Even with the shipping it works out cheaper, and that way I will be supporting some of our sponsors rather than big box store. My dream selection would be toward coupes and convertibles from the 40's & 50's,and some 60's. O.K.,throw in a '67 Buick Wildcat,'70 Eldorado and Coupe DeVille, etc. I think the musclecars are pretty well covered by others or I would have asked for a '70 Cuda (not Barracuda)

Here is a " update " as it seems many collectors were upset like myself in not being able to get the MoonPie Series. Let's try this one more time shall we. Ahem... Hey guys, M2 and Walmart have worked together to release the new MoonPie Auto-Trucks and MoonPie Auto-Haulers at Walmart's southern locations first. Below you will find a list of Walmart locations (City, State, & Zip Code) that have received these MoonPie releases first. Now this doesn't mean that any Walmarts in the northern states will not be getting the MoonPie releases. We are shipping them off shortly to the other Walmart locations not on the list below. Thank you all for your interest in the MoonPie releases, Sean Why would Walmart get a deal with M2 and then ignore them? Walmarts in MY area of Florida seem to be getting rid of all the good adult diecast.I heard that TRU in Naples still has M2 North Fort Myers - All m2 on clearance Nothing on the shelves,no space allotted Cape Coral - NO M2 East Fort Myers _ Scant M2 selection I haven't checked the other WMs due to tolls and they are further than 20 miles from me.I'm tied of burning gas only to be disappointed. My WalMarts leaning toward HW and more kiddy toys. They also put all the Muscle Machines on clearance @$1.50 Sorry,I didn't look up the zipcodes, but they are all within 20 miles of the 33990 area.

I could get into some of these I suppose, even the base line models with hard plastic wheels. But I'd have to see them. I sure wish there were more luxury cars in the lineup instead of the usual muscle stuff though. A Continental Mark II has more sales potential than any Calloway Vette, that's for sure. Gotta give it to Flaps.I agree with adding ALL of the Mark series, and some luxo barges,

Agree with above. I dig the retro appeal of Moon Pies, but tampo specials are nothing to right home about. It wouldn't be so bad if the liveries were period authentic, but they're not. What's cookin'? Gotta be competing with HW mainlines-love the unrealistic color jumble on the dodge stake truck.Realistic yellow wheels, bright blue stakes, and a brown cab.If I wanted cartoon cars I could buy HWs and save some $$$$$ I'll put this series on my list-right under the disappointingly out of scale Foose airplane nosed P-32 that looks gigantic next to my other M2 cars. Has M2 forgotten why we were first attracted to them? They were ADULT cars, not for 3 years olds.

Wowwwww.... That is Wicked Kool Bill ... Love the lights in how they glow in the interior ... Thanks for sharing it The lights are cool-even down to working interior lighting. What really impressed me was the scaled down pebbles caught in the tire treads. Was that done purposely,or just a happy mistake? Either way it is a touch of realism I've never noticed on any other car.

Ha, that ad got around quick! It was a fun one to do. Won't be long now. We're in the final stretch before they hit the pegs. I hope they will be available as single cars.I don't know of any stores having Auto World "on the pegs",but I see many dealers offering pre-orders.Unfortunately they only have these as full sets. That will screw up my color selections. How about the Caddy in all white?Maybe in the next release.

I have also purchased cars from this seller in the past.He is reputable, the cars are rare color variations, but this lot is out of my comfort zone. I am looking for '55 M2 Pontiacs in red/black,and dk blue/lt blue,'53 Olds lt blue/wht. The '54 Merc he has is also a winner. I just purchased an all white '54 Merc and a lt blue/wht '54 Merc for a nice price,so there are still some good deals on evilbay.

I think every T-shirt I've own had a Monster Camaro eating a Ford.... :ROTFLMAO: Gotta love the Rat Fink and all the 60's pinstriping on everything.
