Been playing around and using spare model kit parts to modify these rather bland, cheep 1/24th diecast cars... Some can be a challenge, but fun...I did a bunch of detail on this plain looking all chrome engine...Now I have this big ole' Boss 429 to slap in it...Now my question is... Will it fit???

I was playing with my grandkids this morning. They brought a back pack full of little cars they have collected to play with. I sat there watching them make the roads through the dirt and my mind went wild with fond memories of the same 55 years ago. I can remember some of the cool roads, bridges, and houses I made from sticks and scrap wood. I can honestly say I don't think there was ever anything I had more fun with!!!They have some mighty fine castings I hated seeing run through the dirt and gravel roads, but the cars were theirs that papa had given them over the years.
Especially this 7 dollar Greenlight COPO Camaro. Cody wanted it for his birthday, so papa bought it for him. Papa don't even have it!!! LOL!!!Who ever knew 55 years ago that a small boy, a hand full of little cars, and a pile of dirt would turn into this today???

I have several, several white JL Dodges, Plymouths, Fords, Mercurys Chevys, Pontiacs, Buicks, and AMCs in my collection, but one car will always stand out to me. The way I acquired it is "NUTZ"!!!
I always have collected what looked cool to me, and just wanted real looking cars. That's one reason I never got caught up in the chase for chase cars. I don't like gold trim, white engines, colored tires, or any of that other goofy looking stuff that aint on real cars. This one Superbee is priceless to me... This Superbee will never be forgotten in my book... I bought that on ebay several years ago. I did not know much about the WLs then, and didn't even know it was a WL. I just thought the car was cool. It was sold as loose. I had to be at work when the auction ended so I put in a max bid of what I thought was $5.50. Somehow I goofed in the rush to get out the door and my max bid ended up being $55.00. The auction went to $47.50 and I ended up paying $48.00 for thls car. "CRAZY" I know ... I had just landed a commercial contract to replace carpet and ceramic tile in 150 motel rooms and just received a 10 thousand dollar down payment from Holiday Inn, so I figured "What the heck"
I have gotten soooooo much enjoyment from this one little car over the years, it was well, well worth it to me!!!

I shipped two items to Mexico on October 11th. Have the receipt, and customs form receipt to prove shipping. Buyer did not want to pay all the "Global Shipping" fees so I opted out and sent direct to him to help him out., telling him USPS did not offer tracking to Mexico. Only to Us Border. He agreed... Now he complained he did not receive his items and ebay took $84.90 from my pay pal to refund him. USPS says the package is still in customs...
Nothing you say in your ads mean anything. It's ebay's way or the highway!!!
My ebay fees are due 8th-10th of the month. This month is $89.54. I used my pay pal debit card to purchase some items from stores and brought the balance to zero. I also closed my back-up checking account and opened another and transferred the money so they can't hit that one either. Ended all my items and I feel we'll call it even. I will make sure this is the last time they screw me... Screw them!!!

The 1964 Ford has always been one of my favorite cars of all time. I can remember very well being with my father in October of 1963 looking at the new Fords in the dealer showroom. I also remember him pulling up in the driveway with a brand new 64 Galaxie 500 convertible. White with black interior bucket seats, and black rag top. A fine looking machine. Auto World has done an excellent job on all these 64s!!!

I have been hunting a grill for this 59 Ford pick up for about 4 years now. I have posted posts on every web site and facebook group I know of over the years. I made some new molds of dio and customizing stuff and tossed in a grill from another truck like it. I molded one. I have to decide if I will paint it chrome silver or white!I also molded several 1/24th hop up engine parts for 1/24th dios and customizing. This air cleaner is one of the pieces I molded...I replaced this ugly chrome air cleaner on this 1/24 Johnny Lightning diecast 66 Nova...

Grand Opening coming soon! After a total of 26 hours, Mel's Drive In is completed. A nerve racking and tedious build, but well worth it all..
Hope ya all enjoy the pics as much as I did the build!!!And then John Milnor and Bob Falfa show up...Although this was a tedious build, I did enjoy every minute of it. I guess you can buy the completed version for around 70 dollars, but it isn't correct. I purchased this kit for about 35 dollars shipped and I watched the movie 3 times and got all the colors down as close as possible. . Watching the flick and building at the same time was pure enjoyment!!!

I just purchased this model kit if the Mel's Diner from the American Grafitti movie. After about 18 hours or so, the roof is ready to go on and some finishing touches applied. There are many tiny little pieces needed to be painted and put together. This kit is no joke and not an easy one to build. I took my time with this one so far and am pleased with the progress so far. Many of the tiny mounting holes had to be redrilled to size so the parts would fit. Many test fits are required with this one!Placement of the wall pieces and doors:Placement of the windows:This will make a great set up in my new lay-out and a great Kodak spot when it's finished!

I have been working on cleaning and restoring this vintage Matchbox Firehouse for well over a year now, off and on. I finally located something to use to fabricate a whole new roof. It was a real thin material, so it was kind of a pain to have to glue it to ta piece of thicker sheet styrene plastic for strength. So the roof ended up being 6 pieces glued together. Then to fabricate and locate the mount for the pole in the center. Now that that is all finished, I need the right side door. If I make one, which would be a "BEAR", I will have to make two so they would be alike. If anyone knows where I can get a door please let me know....
Heck, my new roof looks as good as the original...My new roof is the rear one.

Found all at once. I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time when the lady cut open the case and hung them on the pegs. I got all 6 sets. 2 of each... There was no Impala set in these cases... I hear it was delayed for production reasons...

I have been thinking about this idea for a long, long time. A friend had an accident and broke both of his legs, so I am fixing him up a "Hot Rod" wheel chair
