We have nieces and nephews who accumulate or collect cars. A 9 year old niece has people in her cars the Granada is a easy car to add people it has screws in the bottom so easy to take the car apart. This is one shop she likes takes a roll of fabric toss it in the car then off to another shop all our buildings have detail inside The counters are a square chunk of balsa wood the fabric odd scraps of cloth.

Dig it out...My wife collects a few dolls and a hundred other things l.o.l. I will when it cools off... I actually had it out the other day and put it back and didn't think of taking pictures of it. I am sure by now all the wiring needs to be redone as it has just been sitting around since 1988...

Here is a couple more buildings . My wife is a vegetarian and I hunt and fish if any of the younger generation want to learn. We are kind of like day and night. So a deli was my idea. The cars are Motormax This is a unfinished project needs more detail. And a thrift store. Of course there is a table with diecast cars if you look real close. The station wagon is Motormax it has 4 people in it.

Shell ..You buy most at a hobby shop. My wife buys things at model railroad shows always looking for odd things .You can always find a good deal at a train show . Detail parts are like the little people expensive for good quality . Places like Walthers sell detail stuff. www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/528-14832

By the way Shell the white buildings my wife made just sheet plastic cost about 12 dollars for the material for two buildings. The thrift store was a broken building bought in a junk box at a train show for a dollar .It was a two story building the top was smashed the windows were broke. She made a new window frame and a blister pack from a Johnny Lightning car made the window.
The fabric store was a two story building broke in half. My wife cut it down to a one story building a bit of paint and it looks not to bad.
We have buildings that cost a dollar and a couple that were in the 50 dollar range . We have buildings made from cardboard. l.o.l. We lost hundreds when our house burned a couple of years ago the ones we have were in my workshop being made into a model train layout .So were kind of starting over.

I am sorry to hear about your house burning a few years back. I think you and your wife are doing a great job on the dio. The buildings look awesome you can't tell that they were broke or that you cut the Fabric store in half and painted it.. I think it looks awesome. Kudo's to you and your wife. Thanks for all the info... My daughter has a friend who is into the train diorama's so I will see where they find their stuff at.

That Granada is amazing!!! I so need to find one! They were peg warmers in Canada and hard to find in the U.S.A. Now evilbay or the toy peddler is about the only place to find one.
