I know I have not been around as much as I usually am and that due to work and home life is not as much as I would like to be. I lost my job a couple of weeks ago because I blew my stack and walked off the job. Dan will tell you I have not been happy there for a while and the job was giving me so much stress that I ended up in the Hospital a few weeks ago for stress related chest pains. Last Tuesday Abbey and I were running to check out a apartment complex that called me for a job interview and were going to make a stop at the Grocery Store. On the way this idiot in a Blue Toyota Tocoma Pickup truck decided that he was going to flip a u turn in front of us. We were in the South bound lanes and he was in the north bound left hand turn lane. He stated he thought that we all had red lights. Long story short we hit him in the front of his truck and the damage to our car was devastating. Both air bags deployed and I had put up my hands to shield my face and ended up with a dislocated middle finger and a fracture to the same finger. Along with bruised ribs and possibly a cracked rib or two. They hospitalized me over night because they were worried about bruising to the heart. I had a mild bruise to the heart and for the past few day been doped up on pain pills from the ribs. Here i what our poor car looks like after the accident       The good news is that the insurance company for the driver that caused the accident has accepted full liability for the accident and is now moving forward with the claim for our car and the claim for all medical bills. And yes we did hire an attorney. |

Glad everybody is OK.
As Dan said it will buff out, I mean cars can be replaced.
Maybe try for some money for pain and suffering?

Wow sorry to hear that but I am happy everyone is ok... Thank you Shell, both of us are still sore but we are ok. I am going to have to go and see a orthopedic about my hand but other than that we are ok. The good news is that the guy who caused the accident insurance company has accepted liability for the accident and they have gotten us a rental car till they make up their mind. |

Well an update all, the other drivers insurance company has totaled the car and we are now waiting for how much they are going to give us. Should know that on Monday. They also have given us a rental car till all of this is settled.

Keep hanging in there Dave, the car wreck and medical is covered fortunately, and any job that puts you in the hospital for stress and injury is a job you don't need! Aren't you glad you don't live there anymore too! Best of luck with your future prospects!  |

Well the good news is that I have a job and I am going to start tom they are willing to work with me on doctors apointments and they know I am not full strength yet but they hired me anyway.

Sorry about what happened but I haven't seen the post until now, glad that both of you are let's say ok, the car can be replaced but not your health, best luck for you in the future and hope that you'll be allright as soon as possible.

Well all there is a very happy ending so far to the accident. On Tuesday I got my portion of the settlement and I went out and bought Abbey a car, it is not new but it is all hers.  And Thursday I went out and replaced my old Ford Ranger with this beautiful truck. 2995 Dodge Dakota  |

Okay all update time on my truck the insurance company did not total it which I thought they were going to do. I should have it back in a couple of weeks. The delay is due to paying the deductible and not killing ourselves. the final bill came to 5600 dollars worth of damage and my truck is work close to 12k. I was not looking forward to looking for another truck. I was and am very fond of the truck.
I have gotten an attorney and have been to the doctor and had x-rays of both my neck and hand. No major damage but I am still hurting and having treatment. My boss chose not to see the attorney and to not get medical help and is still getting headaches and hurting. I do plan on being in court when this girl goes to court, IF SHE EVEN BOTHERS TO SHOW UP, and seeing about testifying against her.
